Climate Migration Uncovered: Journalism Workshops on Myths, Narratives, and Visualisation
The term “climate migration” often implies a massive influx of people into Europe due to climate issues. However, that does not portray the true story of the 22 million people displaced yearly by climate events. Many European investigative journalists are eager to cover this topic but require additional training to do it justice.
That’s where our project comes in. We’ve created an online free workshop series with three expert-led sessions to help investigative journalists ethically cover climate migration. Participants will learn about relevant laws, debunk common myths, and gain skills for effective reporting to present their findings clearly and compellingly.
Led by leading journalists, photographers, and academics, these workshops will explore the complexities and nuances surrounding this urgent topic.
